Today I am thankful for:
- my Lord dying on the cross for my freedom from sin’s bondage
- our country celebrating 200 plus years of independence from tyranny
- the foresight and bravery of our forefathers in making our independence possible
- the fact that I’m free to worship and speak as I please…so many aren’t
- Cliff’s successful kidney stone operation and that he’s off Friday

Oh – I am so glad that your beloveds surgery went well. Kidney stones are horrific…Super that he is off Friday. We are off too and Monday – yeah…time to kick back and just enjoy family.
Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us.
Blessings to you and yours this holiday weekend.
227 years ago… on July4th 1776.This great nation the United States of America in a struggle for what was right and free, was proudly born… May we celebrate that precious freedom for which our forbears fought so bravely.. The freedom that inherent in the stars and stripes, our revered flag celebrate Freedom this Fourth of July!
One Nation Under God we live
Think about all some had to give
We the people share freedom’s life
In a world of ever present strife
be grateful to those who keep this true
warriors of our red, white and blue
They’re trained by those of great skill
Honed to perform, so strong their will
They show what love all about
They’ll fight for us .there is no doubt Defending Bravely what we are
No holding back each heartfelt star
Highly praise these men and women
Giving thanks time and again Those in uniform will always be
The golden pride of this country.
Excellent post… thank you.
Glad to know that the kidney stone surgery went well (my hubby has had them too – I think it is almost as hard on the caregiver as it is the patient!). Praying recovery is speedy and that you have a blessed 4th of July.

I am with you on the freedom to worship and speak as we please. So many take this for granted, but it truly is something to be thankful for.
Beautiful picture. I am also thankful that Jesus died on the cross for my sins. That I live in a country that can worship Him openly & not in a secret place. Glad’s Cliff’s surgery went well.
I love the photo and verse! Perfect for this celebration of Freedom, isn’t it? I’m so glad Cliff’s surgery went well. There is nothing worse than a man with kidney stones. My husband went through agony with them (dragging me with him every painful step of the way!) and I was so thankful when they decided to operate. Happy Thankful Thursday!
