Cliff was off Tuesday and today because of recovering from his kidney stone surgery. I have enjoyed having him here. I got almost NO sleep last night so I decided to take a little nap today. He has been asleep most of the day so I was a little bored and didn’t want to make noise to wake him up. Anyway, Mandy decided it was about time for me to get up for supper and she started making this sound she makes sometimes. It sounds like ch, ch, ch. It was so cute (though not at the time). She has an amazing internal doggy clock. She always knows when I am almost ready to eat lunch and comes in and tries to make me go to the kitchen. Smart girl.
Everyone is going on vacation…it makes me want to go somewhere so badly. Cliff would like to go to St. Louis some time this fall. We’ll see. We would really have to save up some money.
Mercedes is going to the Smokies and the Biltmore. Nevis is going to Disney World. I hope they have a wonderful and safe time.
I am really in a reading mood lately. I just read Janet Evanovich’s Wife for Hire. Now I’m reading one of Lillian Jackson Braun’s Cat Who book. I want to go to the library this weekend and get another book…maybe a best seller.
I am always attracted to books about a woman being forced to marry some guy under a ruse and then they fall in love. I don’t know why. It is so predictable. But for some reason I keep reading them. However, this book was very boring to me and I could hardly get through it for some reason. ?
I am addicted to these sweet, little books because I have fallen in love (not really) with the main character, Jim Qwilleran. I also love how he treats his cats. I love the town’s people and wish I lived in that fictional town. They claim to be mysteries but they’re not my kind of mystery. But they are so entertaining. The witty comments and dry humor are so fun.

A best seller? I guess that leaves my books out …
I actually thought about seeing if I could find your books at the library.
Nothing gets between a girl and her dinner!
Since I finally got my books unpacked, I wanted to read something too… And it took me FOREVER to choose something, because there were so many that I wanted to re-read. *lol*
St. Louis is not far from me
I like “The Cat Who” books!
Gina,
I’ve been reading Angela Hunt lately. The Note, Uncharted (a must read), The Canopy, The Elevator…..she has so many good ones.
Look for her in the “light” or Christian fiction section.
I think you’ll like her style!
Sounds good!
