Cliff and I are in our pastor’s Sunday school class at church (many may know this). Our pastor had to go out of town Sunday and he asked me to teach the lesson which I’ve done many times before since I am his substitute teacher. I studied the lesson on Philip and how he was so consistent with sharing the news of our Lord and did so wherever he went. The lesson was in Acts about how Philip was bold and able to share the word with an Ethiopian (a foreigner) and
how he cast out demons and performed miracles in God’s name. It was such a wonderful lesson. I had prayed that I would remember what I studied and the Lord helped me.
Today I am thankful for:
- remembering everything I studied for the Sunday school lesson
- my brother who has a birthday tomorrow
- the beautiful example of Philip
- our home…some people are homeless
- other bloggers and blog readers who visit me and leave nice comments
Cliff had to go to the ER Wednesday (tonight) for kidney stones (we think)…praying he will be okay

Oh no, kidney stones? I’ve had those three times now and they are the WORST. They’re like the Spinal Tap amp that goes to eleven. Hope Cliff is feeling better soon.

Thank you R and P’s Mom!!
You have a lot of great things to be thankful for. I hope Cliff is okay. One time I went to the doctor and thought I was passing kidney stones. I don’t want to tell you that it was just a muscle spasm in my back. Drama drama drama.
That is probably my all time, most loved, well cherished, favorite, verses!
Everytime I read it I…. is another shout it!
Thanks for sharing!

Phillip is such a wonderful example of sharing the faith, especially because he relied on the Holy Spirit to give him the words to share. We need to do that more!
Thanks for sharing your blessings with us!

Overcoming the world…such a small phrase with so much meaning. It is so great that God offers you the opportunity to study His word and share it with others. I am so glad I visited you, and so thankful you stopped by!
Congratulations on leading the lesson.
