I was short on time and had to get a recipe online. I make a pasta salad almost like this but with about half the vermicelli and other ingredients and I simply use Kraft© Zesty Italian dressing and no dry seasoning.

We love it!! For more Scrumptious Sunday, click on the mice and it will take you to our host Mercedes. She is really sad today because she lost her beloved Dalmatian of 11 years Patch.

Marinated Vermicelli Salad

20 min | 10 min prep | SERVES 6

8 ounces vermicelli
1 cup tomatoes, cubed
1 cup cucumbers, chopped
1/2 cup green bell peppers, chopped
1/4 cup red onions, chopped
2 tablespoons Salad Supreme dry seasoning
1/2 cup Italian dressing
  1. Cook pasta according to package. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  2. Meanwhile, combine all remaining ingredients EXCEPT dressing in a large bowl.
  3. Add pasta and dressing to bowl. Toss gently to mix.
  4. Refrigerate at least 4 hours (or overnight).

This sounds yummy! I would have to eat all of it-which would be fine with me. Jedd wouldn’t go for it-hehe. Don’t ya just love the Mice pic? Thanks for the kind words of Patch and I-again! Thanks so much for being here. Today is such a hard day. Ups and Downs. Poor Jedd came in from playing golf yesterday and he was just squalling. He said he had to be tough for the guys but the ride home he just cried and cried. He hasn’t driven the Patchmobile since Friday. My Dad thinks he will not drive it for a while and he will drive the truck. He is in my car now-going to the store-minus Patch :( who hasn’t been to the store on Sunday for a few weeks. Sorry-I am rambling.

Happy Mother’s Day to you again! I hope you have a wonderful and safe trip!

Happy Mother’s Day!
I really like to use vermicelli because it cooks so quickly.

This looks good. Thanks for posting.
(I’ve always thought that the word “vermicelli” sounds like it should be one of the labeled items on an anatomical chart of the human body.

Hello, I am writing to you because I liked your blog and I have created a new blog where anyone may post their own recipes and links to their site. Right now it is focused on vegetarian and low calorie recipes, but if I get other types of submissions I will simply include them and modify the theme.

So, would you like to contribute a recipe to my new blog? (You might be the first contributer). You of course can include links to your own blog/site.

You can register for free and post your own recipes, it is here:

In case you might like to also exchange links, I have placed your link at:
