Psalm 100
1 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. 2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. 3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
Today I am thankful for:
- when I was a little girl about six, I asked my Mother about a good Bible verse to learn and she told me Psalm 100. I learned it and still know it today. When I started to forget it, I would relearn it. It really means a lot to me.
- the ability to be thankful in trials. (Not always easy)
- hymnals at church hurt my hands some to hold so I am thankful for the ability to memorize songs very easily.
- the vanilla iced coffee from McDonald’s I got Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Hehe I’m hooked. I wish I had one right now.

Hey someone else listed that verse! I really like your list.
I got hooked on something called ‘Carabo’ bars that have coffee in them man I am hooked for life.
Your thankful list always makes me smile, thanks.
Trials are not fun, but it’s amazing how we grow because of them. I’d better not try that vanilla iced coffee at McDonald’s, if it’s that addicting.
Love what you said about trials. I truly believe in mindset -it does make a huge difference in how we see things.
I’m hooked to McDo’s cheeseburgers!
Great post! Have a blessed Thankful Thursday!
I really like your idea of “Thankful Thursdays.” Of course every day should be a thankful day but actually setting one aside and demonstrating your thankfulness is brilliant.
Have you read “The Year of Living Biblically?” It is fab so far; I’m halfway through it. Very interesting and thought provoking.
I’ve added you to my blogroll. Thank you for your comments on my blog.
What a nice idea, to have “thankful posts” every week. I may have to do that too!

What a beautiful Psalm to memorize as a child. I think what we learn as a child and ‘lock’ in our hearts will be there forever.
I am so sorry to read that holding a book (hymnal) hurts your hands. I do have some of the hymns memorized too
Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us this week.
Be blessed today and always.
