Last year I was in the hospital during almost the whole Christmas season (November 16-December 23). Almost everyone who came in my room told me about this song on the radio including Cliff, nurses, physical therapists, etc. Well my brother brought me a radio to the hospital and I listened to it some and never heard the song “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas”. They said it played all the time (we have a popular radio station in Memphis that plays nothing but Christmas songs from Thanksgiving to Christmas). Some people liked it and some hated it. Cliff would call me when it came on the radio but it was hard for me to get to my radio so, needless to say, I never heard it all season last year. I am not a big music person. I like music but don’t listen to it very much. I have STILL not heard that goofy song and am dying to hear it so I guess I’ll put the stereo on and listen while I eat lunch.
P.S. I finally heard this song on Dec. 7th. I think it so cute!
